Thread: Robbins the type to tape up, throw down

  1. UL Baseball Robbins the type to tape up, throw down

He's been fighting a wrist injury, but that didn't keep Cajun third baseman from delivering in NCAA Regional win Friday

Robbins has really turned into one of my favorite players on the team. Just throughout the years, I remember gritty hard nosed players more than any of the insanely talented players (although some of them are both). I think of him like I think I think of Matt Goulas, Craig Schambough, Justin Morgan, and John Coker. As Robe said about Goulas, He's a dude, and when you got a dude, you can win.

My favorite Goulas memory: vs. McNeese at the Tigue. Matt was hit by pitch. Ump said he didn't try to get out of the way and put him back in the box... Next pitch - BOOM! Home run!
