If you laid weathermen end to end, they'd form a complete circle.

Hourly models show after 1 or 2pm, rain chances are very low
I do subscribe to the "meteorology has the lowest turnover rate" logic, however living in Houston, I can say they nailed this current storm correctly. If this crap keeps up, I am going to get a canoe, just in case...
Different areas of the country are harder/easier to forecast. We are so close to the gulf it's makes forecasting a lot harder. A lot of different variables when dealing with warm water and the coast as opposed to just over a landmass.
Storming on and off in New Iberia. Rains for 10 minutes then sunshine for 15-20 min. The weather doesn't know what the weather is gonna do. How does a Weatherguesser?
They don't "screw up everyday" and they should not have to apologize. They work on probabilities and they work with what they have. There is a lot of information still missing in the models and unless someone comes up with some crazy new advances in mathematics or statistical mechanics, these rough probabilities are the best we can do. They are trying to predict the future.
If you want to blame someone for screwing up plans then blame mother nature/God.
