It's also the reason that today's youth: A) don't know the game; B) are entitled; C) are soft; D) can explode a locker room; E) have no sense of 'team'; F) have no idea how to compete.
Not to mention everywhere that kid goes, this story will follow them. Bye-Bye to an organic, earned ascension up the player rankings.
It's damn ridiculous.
Anyway, don't we have a regional this weekend?
Nobody? You don't think anybody else thinks it's laughable that colleges are offering 14 year olds? I would be willing to take that bet if there were some way to prove it.
No one has answered. What do you think Tony Robicheaux thinks of this practice? Honest question, as I see him as somewhat of an ideal example of a coach doing the job the right way for the right reasons. I can't speak for him, but I have my guesses. Maybe I'm wrong.
It is ridiculous but this hasn't just started. Want to stop this stuff? 2 things, stop paying coaches millions of dollars and stop firing them every 4 years for a losing season. They will do anything to make sure they keep their cash-cow...including offering a 14 year old which is actually on the low end of crazy for what these coaches will do to not be fired from a multi million dollar gig.
I know. And I don't disagree with anyone here that we are just following the trend. Obviously I have not way of proving this but I imagine:
1. Not following this trend would cost us 0 wins
2. Even if 1 is wrong, so what. I'd rather be on the right side of things, even if it costs me something.
