Have we always been this bad at fielding?

If you are seeing her (Parker) pivot foot off the ground as she throws, that is not illegal. It is illegal when that pivot foot is off the ground ... replants ... and then throws. This is what Alex Stewart does ... she replants then throws.
On the ground ball that Hayden handled, it was a blatant illegal pitch by Stewart ... but they did not call it.

Errors or not, they are not afraid of Stewart in the least. There's nothing wrong with that though. The postseason has not been as kind to her as the regular season. We need to hit like we can hit and make the defensive plays when we have the opportunities.
Not looking to start a brouha with you, but our pitching this season has been decent in most games and occasionally fantastic. Paige Parker is not a mutant but rather someone who is hittable as other teams have roughed her up this year. The Cajuns hitters inexplicably seem to tense up in the big games and either strikeout or pop up.
Why is Martinez still starting? Rarely gets on base any more.
This is not our best fielding team ever by any mrans. Hitting has seemed to carry us thus year, We do have to give OU credit thiugh. It is and was always going to take our best to come out of here with two Ws.
I'm not ready to give up on these ladies just yet, but the hill is really steep right now, especially with this illegal pitch crap. It's not like OU needs help.
It's just so frustrating to play all year long and not get an illegal pitch called but then get to post season and have several called against the Cajuns only, and usually just after a big out was recorded.
When one team has 3 outs to get and the other has to get 4-5 outs per inning, well it just sucks.
You can't tell me that some little birdie wasn't chirping in the umps ears before the games began; in conference tournament, regional and super.
Geaux Cajuns! (even if you have to compete against the umps also)
We are on the board. Let's get a quick inning and get back on the sticks
Alright. Within striking distance. Let's hang a 0.
