Each year 64 teams enter regional play, and 63 of them "fail in the really big games".

of course. but, at some point, does this fan base start to wonder how many years of being "a nationally elite program" are required for the big brass ring to be grabbed? i have fsu friends, and they think of martin and the program as being chokers, of a sort, after so many failed opportunities, despite obviously being "elite."

We do more with less than any other program in the nation. Probably in any sport. No offense, but your friends have no clue what they are talking about.

Now today is a new day. And I hate the way supers are set up. Play back to back games 2-3 if necessary. Never was a fan. But it's set up well for us. Win the first game and we have the momentum.

Well, it doesn't help when you are chronically underseded so that you pretty much HAVE to play a 2-5 at their house.

Meanwhile about 3 SEC teams jumped us in ranking purely on the strength of showing up at the SEC tournament.

Those kind of things tend to limit your opportunities to "grab the ring".
