Like any head coach, it's sometimes hard to figure out exactly how to take UL softball coach Michael Lotief in postgame interview sessions.

I'm thinking after two life threatening bouts with his throat, Coach Lotief can indeed enjoy the journey, not just the results. Those type of life altering events can and do alter our life lens.
Can't think of many people who deserve a National Championship trophy in their office as much as him. We are VERY fortunate to still have him and Coach Robie hanging around.
We will have a hard time when the time comes to find adequate replacements. But I suggest we look hard at locals first. We have not done so well with non UL people, non Acadiana people in the important sports.
Well when it comes to baseball, I say we go after Deggs if he hasn't moved on to bigger and better by that time. Hopefully he does, though.
In softball, need someone who can keep pulling the Acadiana and Katy-West Houston athletes.
We need somebody who can do it all. Recruiting, X & O, game day decisions, be of incredible moral fiber. Those are the things we are after. I doubt Deggs will be around when Robe steps aside, he won't be at SHSU too long.
Can you imagine what these two guys (Lotief and Robe) could do if they had an operation budget similar to aTm or Texas?
Mike and Stef are on 1420 right now with Foote
Does Babineaux get an interview?
I would think that's a no brainer
Why are we talking about replacing Robe?
