Acadia Parish - Crowley PD seizes $71,000 in alleged drug money

Tuesday evening, around 5:30 p.m., members of the Crowley PD Narcotics division recovered $71,000 in suspected drug money during a routine traffic stop on Interstate 10. Crowley Chief of Police K.P. Gibson has promised to stay active in the war on drugs. He and his officers will continue to fight the illegal activity throughout the city of Crowley.

“We have fought the illegal drug activity of this city for the past 7 plus years and we will continue to fight it under this administration,” stated Chief Gibson.

“From time to time, our narcotics officers work interdiction on Interstate 10 or Highway 90. This past Tuesday evening one of our officers was on Interstate 10 and made a stop for traffic violations,” stated Chief Gibson.
