awesome! I cant wait to see highlights from Bristol with Long grayed out as they still attempt to laud Simmons

I haven't decided his career. I just commented on what I saw. The D-League and Summer Leagues have tons of guys that put up numbers in those respective games to only not make it to the big stage. See Russ Smith as an example for the Pelicans a few years ago as well as the PG from Baylor who was lighting it up. They produced as well but more things come into play over points scored.

There should not even be a comparison with Long and Simmons. They will have completely different paths as stardom. I hope Shawn makes a big impact and gets a roster spot with the sixers and as a matter of fact, that may possibly be one of the best situations for him to possibly break into the squad, especially if they are successful in trading Okafor and Noel like they have been trying to do.

I never mentioned Simmons once except that he should drink more water... ill stick with my statement... If 10 points 5 boards and an assist is his "pedestrian effort" nervous as hell....he will make the team... Because he will only get more comfortable and the more he plays will find his roll. Payton looked pedestrian early until he saw for himself that he does in fact belong on the court with those guys, I think the same will happen with Shawn.

He seemed to be the least athletic of all their bigs that played and was fairly ineffective in the post against a guy I thought he'd manhandle.
I saw some highlights and noticed one play where Shawn was stuck guarding someone on the perimeter. Guy blew by him for a layup. He was late on his rotation which caused this to occur. He had similar problem here and that issue may cause him to be in the D League or Europe for quite awhile.

what happened with the water? did simmons get dehydrated?

also is it just me, or is it odd that people now adays need to drink so much more water than we did previously. I remember playing baseball in the 1980's almost all day with hardly any water, now kids need fresh bottles seemingly every hour.
