BOISE, Idaho - Western Athletic Conference commissioner Karl Benson used his hour-long forum Friday morning to outline his plan for possible league expansion to the media in attendance at the conferences media day.
The "Benson Plan" would call for the WAC adding two central time zone schools and going to two divisions, which would alleviate some of the travel problems the league faces today.
"We have identified some schools in the central time zone that would be a good fit for our league," Benson told reporters. "Adding two teams from the central time zone is a priority for us."
