I'm with Brian on this one. In order to miss the postseason, we would almost have to lose the rest of our games and go 0-2 in the tourney. Basically the top 64 teams get in right? (Don't try to discredit me with tourney champs not being the best in their conference or anything like that). I know this season has been a little frustrating so far, but we are definitely one of the top 64 teams in the country. In and out of the top 25 all year. SOS at 18. I think we'll be ok.

Also, I almost feel bad for the team that hosts but gets us as a 2 seed. I know we've been inconsistent, but with our 4 starting pitchers and bullpen guys I like our chances. Just can't forget to bring the bats.

So, these boys decide to lose to a bottom feeder on the same day the conference leader just lost there second game in a row. We could have been 1 game behind USA, if not for that stupid lose. 😁😁😁

We also could have been five games behind South Alabama had South Alabama taken care of Appalachian State. That bottom feeder happens to be 3-2 vs. the top teams in the conference.

Let's not go overboard in the other direction. Going 1-10 the remainder of the way does not get it done. We would need to do much better than that. Not many teams could close like that and still make the field.

Well yeah that's obvious. Little over exaggeration on my part. But I believe we would be safe barring a complete collapse.

I am comfortable winning at a clip of 2/3.

As a sanity check ... the Cajuns going 5-4 the remainder of the regular season (1-0 vs. App State, 0-1 vs. Houston, 1-0 vs. New Orleans, 1-2 vs. South Alabama, 2-1 vs. ULM) would leave us with an RPI rank of #29 (based on the current RPI, all other things being equal).

A loss today and the Cajuns finishing the regular season 4-5 would leave them with an RPI rank of #34 (based on the current RPI, all other things being equal).
