Thread: One mismanaged inning costs the Cajuns

  1. UL Baseball One mismanaged inning costs the Cajuns

A four-run seventh hurt in a 6-3 loss to Louisiana Tech on Wednesday night

This "one mismanaged inning" stuff is getting old. Yes, Tech scored their runs in one inning, but it's gotten to the point where we are oversimplifying this thing. We had hit 1 through 7 innings.. again.

That's the story, and has been the entire season. Same bs that happened in Mississippi. We harp on a couple of pitches that our pitchers missed on, but we ignore the fact that we went 1-12 with RISP. You can't expect college pitchers to go out every night and throw a shutout. Even if the kid for USM doesn't hit the 3 run job, you still LOSE.

I don't typically miss many Cajun baseball games, but I must say I got the better end of the deal last night at Frozen on Ice.....I still had big dome foams and didn't have to watch us do the norm:

    Under 7 hits
    Under 4 runs
    "1 mismanaged inning"

Thankful we have arms to keep us close for a few innings. This hitting is just baffling. We may be the worst hitting team with RISP.
