We aren't very talented, we haven't been recruiting well, a guy we were excited about doesn't want to be here...we will be lucky to win 10 games? But hey go prove me wrong and win the SBC championshiop crown and tourney...or get an at large. Nothing else will prove anybody wrong....finishing 4th and getting elimated in the quarters or semis don't cut it. I hope for the guys that are actually here
That no other "issues" come up before the start of next season so they might actually have a chance. It isn't gray for me... Like I said earlier... No need to air things on here now, he isn't going anywhere.
There are a lot more than a handful of kids who appreciate what the staff has done for them. I only named a few to make a point. I also understand that another so so year will not leave people fulfilled. However, when you state that that they will be lucky to win 10 games, you are technically proved wrong if a winning season occurs. I understand that this is a manner of semantics and there will be a lot of disappointment unless we do better than the fourth place finish of the last two years. I also presume you would love to be proven wrong. You are correct in that no thought whatsoever for a change is held in the mind of any administrator at this time. A losing season will have to happen before that is considered and perhaps two in a row. Regarding Tyrone Wooten, at this time I expect him to be back. However, if they find two guys in late recruiting that they believe are better than he, he may be asked to leave. I think that is unlikely at this late date. They have one scholarship open at this time and I don't know if they have plans to fill it. They may wait to use it for a transfer.

No I said that in regards to what you expect him to say...if the staff member thought that do you really think he would say it? There are 2 sides to every story, I admit to the 2 sides and there is one side that isn't being told at this time. There are a group on here that only wants to tell the "Marlin can do no wrong" side. So far Ive said everything isn't all Marlin fault. Unlike some find a way to put every situation on the player. This isn't a bunch of players dismissed that never see the court again. They leave and go on to play elsewhere and somehow get along with their new coaches and teammates. The amount that leave and continue having problems has been extremely minimal. That's weird considering how "bad" all these kids are. Are some players a pain in the ___? Yes, is part of being a good head coach being able to deal with those? Yes it will be year 7 a game above .500 does not constitute success.

Someone posted about 12 names which is right on the average but that
You're right in that one would have to sort the reasons and assign blame for the transfers.
I'm ok with a transfer because I think that says more about the kid than the coach UNLESS it becomes a pattern. Kids come in knowing the expectations and if those arent met, I'm ok with them not representing this University.

Gradnigo, LeBato and Andrews were were all carryover problems. Thomas was infected by the carryovers.

Turbine, my list had no comments. People can judge for themselves, but the MBB program is no different then the football program, there is a major attrition problem in this program.

Did the administration hold him responsible for that? Or was he given a chance to do what he needed to right the ship?

Right, that's why I didn't quote you, but that first round debacle is off the books.

If you recall I predicted a problem was looming while Lee was still coach.

The problem now extends way beyond Coach Lee's recruits.

Not sure what "carryover" problem was there with Matt LeBato. He joined the Cajuns after Marlin was hired and after uncle Rick LeBato was not retained as a Cajun assistant coach and after his uncle's godson, Chris Gradnigo, transferred to Coastal Carolina.

It should be noted Rick LeBato coached recent Cajun guard signee PJ Hardy at St. Louis Catholic.

I'm looking at where they went. For the most part, lessor programs.

How so? This isn't football. Those schools are in the same classification as us and have handed bob plenty of his losses. Some lower, mostly equal and a few higher
