Did that guy even make it on campus? My recollection was his offer was rescinded around the same time Shawn decided to return for his senior year. Or maybe he decided not to come because he'd be getting very little PT.

Pretty sure he made it here and never qualified. When you have attrition problems...the ability to become eligible should be a heavy factor in offering scholarships.

So you don't even have a frame of reference from his entire tenure? Yes, Bob Marlin has a player retention problem and a recruiting problem. All aspects of recruiting fall on the head coach...it is his job to know if the kids he is recruiting have problems in the classroom,problems pn the court, problems off the court, problems in the locker room etc. that's why you build relationships with high school coaches you can trust. There will always be the ones that you could never see coming....he has been really bad at it here. Don't be surprised if Davis eventually leaves...there is a reason he didn't want to be here. Also, if you keep bringing in kids that are high risk to have issues we will eventually find ourselves with APR issues. Marlin has been "drafting" about as well as the saints have.

I don't. Tbh I didn't follow cajun basketball til the year before I got here when elfrid was a junior. I agree Marlin is not a good recruiter. But I'm not so sure he has a retention problem. You would have to do a little more convincing for me to believe that.

Not all attrition is the same, I bet Kentucky, UNC and Kansas have severe attrition problems but that's a little different isn't it. If you aren't very good at recruiting, having attrition problems with your better recruits isn't gonna work out very well. We aren't talking about walk-ons hanging it up or leaving because of lack of minutes. You have guys with 4 years of starting ahead then wanting to leave.

Its really too many to remember by name, id have to look it up but maybe you could do the research to educate yourself on Bob Marlins entire tenure here....I bet it will shock you. It isn't just transfers, dismissals and non-qualify.

Claim what? That I actually was there? And followed the program? For a lot longer than 3 years? I would do research before I tried to argue with someone who was actually informed and had knowledge of a situation as to not look like I didn't know what I was talking about.
