I didn't research this claim but I'm pretty sure Marlin has an excellent home record in the dome. But the rest of your analysis is spot on.

Believe it or not, the average salary for coaches is 500 M$ in this league. Not saying any of them deserve it. That is the market. In the big picture, basketball still means a lot more nationally than the diamond sports and that sets the market.

Wooten signed early (with Corey Davis), but there were rumors he might not join the program before he eventually did after struggling from the perimeter as a JC sophomore and needing to get some academic work done.
