Does not matter if he wanted a release or if staff considered helping move on. Either way, it was a big mistake. Also, Andrews tried to walk on at LSU and Jones would not take him.

    1) He has come to realize that the JC world is not nearly as nice a place to live as where he lives todays. It finally hit him that his grades are not good enough to go to the SEC after only one year there. Remember the new 2.5 GPA rule to play in D1 after graduating from JC. I won't go into the details of his grades as that is private info. I will just say he is in no danger of losing eligibility but his grades from here would have to count to leave JC after one year and that it would be very difficult for him to get to the standard.

    2) He is looking forward to having the opportunity to show what he can do inside and outside which he will have here.

    3) Perhaps most importantly, he is scared about what his Mom will do to him if he ever thinks about leaving again.
    Momma most importantly

Of course not, jones takes super skilled athletes and coaches em down...either way I'll be glad to eat crow, it would make me feel a lot better about my season tickets. I feel this generation of players and the game have passed him by. If he isn't willing to adapt to that he will fail.

Maybe the players being brought in are out of necessity due to the players leaving? Lose 1 you gotta replace them. Problem is that we haven't seemed to replace them with similar players or better with the exception of Long.

Ok, so the kid is staying it seems. The problem with this, and I may be nitpicking here, but it still doesn't seem like this is the place he truly wants to be. He's here because his mom will kick his ___ if he tries to go somewhere else and he realizes that he still won't get to enter SEC heaven even if he had a successful year in JC.

Thanks for the correction, I misinterpreted CajunT's name list, never looked at the actual years he listed only the number of years. Back to the drawing board.

I agree he will be here about a decade and also agree we have had only one special season to date. However, despite what you read here, there are plenty of people who get along very well with Coach Marlin.

The fans don't love him Mike. Clearly some players can't stand him others love him.

I would agree that he is not "loved" by the general fan base. When I said he gets along well with plenty of folks I was referring to people who know him personally

    Some want another Hud personality.
