I never thought of Ricky Bustle as a radio guy.

The few times I've accidentally heard a few seconds of their show, there was zero talk of sports. It's basically just two dudes talking to each other.

Because some people like the NBA and its nice to have a local team we can associate with. I love when he talks Pelicans and wished he talked it more. Its better than arguing which shortstop is better when comparing their .284 and .265 batting averages.

Also, the pelicans are considered an up and coming franchise. This past year did not show that due to injuries but they made the playoffs last year with the youngest team in the league and have some solid draft slots this year so it makes for interesting talk.

Been done with 1420 for a while. Unless cajun sports is on it...no need to listen. I do miss listening to Stevie P in the morning.

I wish they would also talk more about hockey. I know the closest NHL team is Dallas but when the Icegators were in town a lot of hockey fans were born. I don't attend Gator games anymore but I still follow the NHL as best I can. NHL playoff hockey is probably one of the best professional post seasons we have. While I would not devote whole shows to it, I would definitely have a segment or two to fill with the story lines. It's better than listening to Deep South wrestling opinions or like I mentioned in my previous post, a fricking cereal draft.

I also believe Acadiana has a budding Mixed Martial Arts community. The area has put out some serious top organization fighters (Tim Credeur, Dustin Poirier, Daniel Cormier {UFC title holder}, Liz Carmouche, Aaron Phillips, Alan Jouban, Jules Bruchez, Christian Fulgium) who have all made it to the UFC. If the Fightville fights at Evangeline Downs were any indication of the MMA fan base in the area then 1420 should capitalize because it is a year round sport with tons of story lines.

Stevie needs a once a week wrestling show to get it all out of his system. An MMA show would do well also. Hockey...I don't see any demand. Your best bet is to find a podcast.

My biggest problem is with the two guys who call in every day to every show and usually talk about the NBA. One guy's name is Jay and, I think, the other guy's name is Ron. Once one word is spoken by one of them, I switch channels. If they're going to get that much air time, why not give them their own shows? That way, I'll know when not to listen.
