That is an interesting mix of western schools in the top 25. I think UCSB and LB State are in the same conference as CS Fullerton; also, Cal in Stanford out.
And our soon to be rival Coastal Carolina is right there with us.
When Coastal joins the SBC the SBC will be a Top 7 RPI Conference. The SBC would have 3 teams in the Top 20 RPI is CCU was in the SBC today.
UL 15
CCU 16
USA 20
Coastal played or will play UVA, Duke, Wake (2) NC State, and UNC out of the ACC, Ole Miss and South Carolina out of the SEC, Illinois (2) and Ohio State (2) from the Big Ten, Cincinnati from the American and Marshall from CUSA. They've played UNC-W and College of Charleston in the midweek.
Whew.
Back in D1Baseball's top 25 as well. (#24)

As frustrating as its been at times to watch/listen to, they have done an excellent job in the past 15 games or so. When they dropped out of the polls, they were going to have to earn they way back in. They've certainly done that and deserve to be there again.
After dropping out earlier this season, UL is back into the Top 25 of two major national college baseball polls.
Outside shot of hosting a regional?
Brian mentioned on another thread that's it's still possible but obviously we have a lot of work to do. And he thinks it may come down to how we do versus trams like USA and Southern Miss, e.g. go 3-1 in those games and close out the year strong and we have a shot. But this of course will be extremely difficult to do so it's an outside shot.
Brian, if I mis-stated anything feel free to correct me
