Oh, you know we don't to let anybody gameplan for us. We're playing this close to the vest.....
Didn't Hud go into the spring saying that he didn't want that same situation to pop up again and that naming a QB was a priority?

He also said he wanted to name a starter after the spring. Spring is not over.
Article says he will name a "leading candidate" to be the starter at the end of spring. That guy will be the starter and it will be Davis. He is not going beyond that simply to not discourage the other guys. Interesting to note that spring game will be an actual contest this year. That is somewhat encouraging to me as it indicates their are enough healthy bodies to fill out two squads.
I understand Mike. However, he mentioned in the offseason that he wanted to name a starter in the spring this year so he could lead them in the offseason but now he's willing to name a leading candidate. To me, naming a starting QB helps solidify your team moving forward. You assume he's worried about hurting Weaver's feelings? Maybe that motivates him to work harder. Shouldn't be a bad thing.
I understand that he also wants the O-line to put on another 20Lbs...

I'm thinking nobody separated themselves. He knows whose ahead, but no clear difference. That's usually not good. You rarely have two outstanding quarterbacks.
Please pick a QB and stick with him. Can't build team chemistry like this.
Jordan has been inconsistent in camp. PROBABLY, the coaches are sensing a little bit of entitlement issues, and are sending a message to him via the media. This is much ado about nothing. Jordan Davis will be your starter against Boise St.
