The thing about Dion Ray though is that he chose to come to UL because he thought he could be a QB. Ole miss and other big programs wanted to turn him into a WR or maybe even rb

Um stats seam like weaver is the qb from spring game. Since no one will break it down ill go with the guy that throws for more yards.

Weaver undoubtedly looked better today. Weaver moved the ball and controlled the clock while Davis did neither and he turned it over a couple times

I'm certainly no expert, but based on todays scrimmage, there was little doubt who was the best today..WEAVER.

Davis lost a fumble on the opening snap and it all went downhill from there. Weaver looked great!

You can assure me this huh? Without a doubt there is no question in your mind right? Since he nor really any cajun QB hasn't played a true down of meaningful football here, what makes you so sure?

The defense was not the problem. While they certainly were questionable at times last year, they made enough plays and had enough stops to let us win more games than what we did. Our major problem was the inability to move the football, particularly in the redzone. We had little to no big play pop and just didn't execute well in the passing game to balance us out.

That defense would have needed a forty point offense to win some of the games. The defense was as bad as the offense.

At least the defense made plays......They played well enough in games but you are right, we had no offense and thus, spent way too much time on the field.
