One of the strikes ended up being called an illegal pitch which made that pitch a ball.

Not saying you are incorrect, but neither the announcers on TV nor Stevie P caught that and no where on TV was that apparent. But if a pitch was called illegal, that would make sense.

It was a shot to center by Elkins. The ball was already in the outfield by the time the runner took off. Probably should have held her at 3rd. However, even with the shot, it still took a perfect throw to home to get her. And it was a perfect throw.

Only hitters who didn't look completely lost at the plate in Game 1 were Elkins and Hayden.

If I were Baylor coach I would throw same pitcher in game 2. Cajuns were not even close to figuring her out.
