The first batter in the top of the 3rd was given 4 strikes. Robin Landrith,
pitch one-ball
pitch 2- foul to left (1-1)
coach Lotief to mound
pitch 3- foul to left (1-2)
pitch 4- called strike (should be out)....batter starts walking to dug out, only to be called back by ump---ump says the count is now 2-2...everyone misses the count
pitch 5-inside ball (3-2)
pitch 6- foul right side (3-2)
pitch 7-foul left side (3-2)
pitch 8-foul right side (3-2)
pitch 9-base hit up the middle.

Just watched the replay. You're absolutely right. 2 fouls then a called strike 3. No one caught it.

Thrown out at home on a great throw from center.

Hayden was at 2nd. Elkins hit a line drive up the middle. The center fielder fielded it off a hop and thew a strike to home. Hayden didn't have a chance.

I understood that, just figured she would have been almost to 3rd before the ball got to the center fielder.
