Though only 60 miles from his Baton Rouge home, Lafayette was the furthest thing from Blake Hollingsworth’s mind.
Until recently, that is.
An official recruiting trip to Louisiana showed Hollingsworth everything he wanted to see in a college. So the University High quarterback ended his recruitment, committing to the Ragin’ Cajuns during his visit.
“I just fell in love with it,” Hollingsworth said.
Hollingsworth, the latest of U-High’s quarterback prospects, was one of two area recruits who liked UL enough to accept a scholarship offer over the weekend.
St. Amant lineman Marvin Martin also committed to ULL during his visit, Gators coach David Oliver confirmed.
