@Scott_1420 Trips to Ball State and UT-Martin look like they're out. They've announced game on Sunday night.
It would be hard to put stats on paper because posts like this artificially inflate the count after the fact, but you don't even need to click on a game thread to see if we are winning or losing. <50 posts, win for the good guys. 20 pages, we lost and have the worst coaches/players/admin on the planet. Whatever the flavor of the week is.
I think post count is more closely related to road vs home. Road game = more posts. Popular opinion to the contrary, most of the most disgruntled fans are at every home game; ergo, not posting.
In the case of last night's game, many people were at baseball or softball games, as well.
There are fans that openly show dissatisfaction with athletic outcomes (early or late) on this forum. They are closely rivaled by other fans that show dissatisfaction with the fans that openly criticize. I see nothing but the pot calling the kettle black. I like pots and kettles.
Once they got the lead, it looked like the pressure was off and they just started playing loose like they would in practice. I think that our shooters just tighten up under pressure and in close games and can't hit shots.
Or possibly the Cajundome installed bigger rims on the goals last night! LOL!!!!
Shepherd, Wright, and Wronkowski all started making threes after making their first basket inside. Often times you only need to see the ball go in to get you going. Virtually all of the perimeter shots taken were nice clean looks. Good jobs by the big guys in making nice passes from the in and out half court game. Also, good job by all in looking up court for open guys in the transition game. I personally did not think our opponent was as poor as some thing. No way you win 25 games and play Wisconsin to the wire without some talent. Having their best player in foul trouble and eventually foul out hampered them. They simply caught us on a night when our outside shots were falling. When that happens, we can be formidable. Unfortunately, we were very inconsistent in that regard this season. As far as a shooting coach goes, last year we led our league in three point shooting. This year we were last. Same guys generally firing them up in both years. That is something I cannot explain. My only guess is that it became mental after a couple of rough outings. Maybe that is behind them here at the end. Kasey Shepherd is playing at a high level now. Recall he got us back in the game in the second half against Little Rock.
