Thread: CIT Tournament Info

But if it's two different entities running each tourney, I'm sure there will be issues if we don't empty the dome after the women's game. Or else we'd have to charge a bit more per ticket to make money back for what is essentially two different tournaments.

Any word on tickets yet? Is it going to be general admission or will season ticket holders get to pay for their seat

Early word is that season ticket holders get first crack at their seats.

The CIT decided to cap at 26 schools this year. Not the first time they've done that.

This means there will be three teams that get second round byes. It has been determined the byes will go to the three teams ranked highest in the Ken Pomeroy power ratings.

Right now, UL is fourth in the pecking order. If they beat TAMUCC and any of the other three lose, UL would get a bye to the quarterfinals...and the Cajundome is open.

If the Cajuns don't get a bye, they would travel for the second round.

I'm going to be lazy and ask who teams 1-3 are? That way I can root against them. No I don't feel like looking up Ken Pom and cross checking that with who's in the CIT field.

Looks like UTA, Columbia and UC Irvine. Ironically we are ahead of UL Monroe.

That's only if Trump University and the South Harmon Institute of Technology lose.

Well UTA is on the road for game one, and so is UC Irvine. So those two may be our best shot.

    UC Irvine @ North Dakota, 3/16 @ 7 pm
    UTA @ Savannah State, 3/16 @ 6 pm

My suspicion is that we will see something similar to last year at Blackham, regarding parking (i.e., hold on to your RCAF parking passes if you got 'em).
