Their record could be deceptive. However, they do pass the eye test. I watched part of their game against SFA and they seem to have quality players. Also, deceptive or not, their record indicates that team is much deserving of post season play. Without tournaments like the CIT, they would not have that opportunity in today's world.

RAGIN4U, not discussing Marlin's future in this thread but fans eventually fire coaches. If fans are not showing up to games, it may be because they do not see a quality product and are tired of mediocrity in a mediocre conference.

Let me ask you this because you asked the question, "What possible benefit is there to not supporting our university?" Do you ask this question of baseball supporters , softball supporters and basketball supporters that are not RCAF members? It seems to me that with season ticket records in baseball and softball we should have more then 2,000 plus RCAF members by this stage. I have no problem with the fan that doesn't want to attend a football game or basketball game because they are not happy with the final product. I have more of a problem with the numbers of individual sport supporters that are not RCAF members and don't get asked the same question you just asked Zee.

    Great point about RCAF.

Btw, the SBC is not mediocre. Not even close. That's far too kind my friend..

You not in favor of the CIT participation trophy? We have a chance to be one of the 164 teams in post season. Doesnt that sound appealing and rewarding for the team?

ok.... sarcasm off .... Hell with NIT, CBI, CIT, and Vegas! Its getting to a point where I about to say hell with the NCAA Tournament also.

CIT doesn't fill field, Vegas may not even happen. The whole darn system is broken.

Makes me appreciate the at large we got when the field was 32 even more.

I wish UL would drop that "Our Mission is March" signage at the entry to the dome. This isn't what any of us had in mind.

And Boise just bailed on Vegas.

Vegas could not fill their tournament with 16, so now it's the Vegas 8. Who's headlining??? LATUR!!!

How long until they say that it's a more prestigious tournament with better compitition than the CIT?

In their best Donald Trump voice " this is the classiest post season tournament around. It's in the most extravagant city on earth. It was so classy, that we had to eliminate 8 teams to keep it so exclusive."

That was fun. Good luck Bulldogs.

Is there a list of programs that declined post season invites & stayed home?
    LSU
    Boise
    Richmond
Those are 3 (of apparently quite a few) I can recall at this moment.
