We would not save any thing by not playing in the CIT. You don't pay anything to go on the road and you generally need to draw about 2000 to cover the cost of hosting. Also, the players want to keep playing. It is understandable that few care about watching. However if the players want to do so a coach who does not give them that opportunity does himself no favors.
From Luke Johnson's Twitter--Update: Cajuns hoops will participate in one of the postseason tournaments. Some arrangements still need to be made before its official
Monroe is playing in the CIT. They play at Furman on Tuesday.
Anybody know something about the vegas 16 tournament? Are all the games in vegas?
There was some talk about Vegas, but I do not think that was going to happen. If I remember correctly large buy in and then all of your expenses are paid.
Possibility for game on four straight days and all games are in vegas at mandalay bay
Just an assumption here but with the dome hosting Arenacross this past weekend and then the rodeo next weekend, the plan would probably be to just leave the dirt on the floor all week. Makes me think it would be on the road or moving the floor to Blackham to open the CIT.
C'mon man. I know you have it out for those guys but that's a bunch of bull. Neither Farmer or Marlin ever tried to sell the CIT as "some major coup."
Go back and read the articles and press releases. It was always "we're excited to play" and "this is a great chance to extend the season and play good competition." They never said it was some big accomplishment to get invited. Last time I checked there's no CIT banner hanging in the Cajundome.
The coaches want to play more basketball, the players want to play more basketball, and most of the fans want to see more basketball. So they're playing in the damn tournament. That's all this is.
