You just gotta give him time Z. God knows he's overcome so much.

Beard brought in 10 new players after getting hired and meshed them with his returning veterans (he also lost a transfer to Georgia Tech who was an all-league talent). Guard Josh Hagins is a Louisiana kid and was all-conference for the second straight season. Bottom line is he got each guy to accept their role. They played smart, disciplined ball on both ends of the floor. The good news for Cajun fans is he won't be in Little Rock much longer. I've already heard him being linked with likely openings in the Big 12. He can coach and recruit at a high level.

Ha, good news Josh. Cajun fans have to hope coaches in the SBC suck, or get quick promotions.

Sorry that doesn't put me on the Good Ship Lollypop.

So...you're saying we got out recruited and out coached?

I remember Hagins, really good player we missed on. His roster is versatile and he has a number of athletes that can shoot well. No doubt they bought into his system.

I have often said it is easier to start a team from scratch than rebuild through normal attrition.

How does having 10 openings not affect APR in some manner?

If I remember correctly, ex-Cajuns coach Robert Lee helped recruit Josh Hagins to Little Rock out of Airline High in Bossier City, La. Hagins and forward Roger Woods (also an all-conference pick) are seniors, as is part-time starter Jermaine Ruttley. But the rest of the Trojans should be back and they have transfers from Florida State and Mississippi State set to be eligible after sitting out this season. So Little Rock should be good again next season.

They had four guys graduate and four others leave with eligibility, but you don't lose APR points if they transfer to another four-year school and leave with at least a 2.6 GPA.
