Need better players period. Playmakers who can make a wide open 3 pointer. Anyone hear the announcer talk about how no one recruited Shephard out of high school? Could say the same about Washington. Same with Elfrid Payton. Same with Register. Got one right in Payton. Granted Shepherd hit some big shots tonight. Can't keep recruiting players no one else wants and try to make them D1 Mid Major.

They're the best suited team left that could make noise. Very patient when they need to be.

They are a solid team. Not flashy, but they do the basics stuff very well. They are so unselfish and make the most of every possession. They are better than last year's GSU team. I would not at all be surprised if they won a game or 2 in the NCAAs. If they make it of course.

Never understood the fascination with Washington. Seems like a nice young man. Saw him in the Sunkist Shootout and was not even in the top 3 players on the floor in high school. Good passer. Can't shoot it from 3. Can't take anyone off the dribble. Did nothing today in probably 30 minutes played if not more.

Next year will be very telling when he doesn't have Long playing alongside of him.

It's amazing how we led the league in 3 pt % last year, and returned all our key players. Then go to dead last this season. Did the announcer today say we shot 25% on the year? If we shoot just 33%, we probaby win quite a few more games.

Marlin has him setting up outside the 3 point line. Set him up in the block and find guards who can feed him, and you will see how good he really is. If you listened to ESPN3 today, the coach who was announcing was totally baffled by how we misused him.

Edit to add that he led the conference in FG%.
That being said, we need another decent big to complement him next year.

New guy at LR brings in 10 new players, 7 play. They rolled through this shlitty conference his first year at the helm.

We have 1 more year of Marlin. Next year will be an abomination.
