Mills in left, Herrington Center, Edwards right.
Conrad 3rd, Robins SS, Tros 2b, Pinero 1b.

This is the best defensive and offensive lineup combined. If you don't see it, you haven't been watching close enough.

I think Robe knows this too, but he was still willing to experiment 1 more time heading into conference.

Mills has been key in multiple games, specifically the Rice win. He brings much needed intensity at the plate and on the bases. Plays with a purpose on offense.

Herrington came in for Clem and had a huge RBI in clutch situation to take the lead. Had multiple good at bats. Seems ready to make his name. Sat on the bench last year watching what real grinders were like. He's not new to this club. Let him take the spot he's earned.

Edwards has been solid in almost every facet, had 1 stellar game, and only 1 base running mistake tonight. He's just been overall good.

Conrad, Robbins and Trosclair are obvious

Pinero has proven to be the most viable defensive First Basemen and has even had a few good at bats, still has bad ones here and there.

    Thurm is Thurm.

Pitching is what we expected and deserves better than what they have had behind them.

Those are my reasonings and I stand by them. Let's figure this out and play well in conference. Season is not over. Not even close. Come on boys. Wake up.
Can not disagree with anything you say. Our pitchers deserve much better from the off and def they have been getting. When it comes together look out.

We will be fine. Learning curves take time.

I'm sure this statement is mostly sarcasm but if not the season is far from over.

Why does the learning curve only apply to us? I see other teams not going through learning curves. Good teams go through learning curves but still win the dang game. Just play baseball!

We've played 13 games, how many more games we have to give away?

The learning curve does not only apply to us. But when you have as many new faces in the lineup the learning curve increases. We have still won more games than we have lost and we have played one of the toughest schedules so far that I can ever remember. This team needs to find an identity and cut out the silly mistakes. Robe will not let this team fall apart.

because sacred heart is not the opponent mid-week.

"find an identity" Seriously, What does that even mean? So far our identity is losing to decent teams and beating bad teams. I didnt know baseball involved overcoming an identity crisis.

The truth of the matter is, we've all fallen prey to expectations. If this team had tepid expectations, the tone here would be a lot different.

There may be a learning curve, but what took place last year was highly unusual. I'm more concerned about the mental part with this group than the physical ability. (Which IMO is more scary) The good thing is, we have the pitching to keep us in it.

    We'll see.

The reason I believe it's mental with this team is because we've played 67/72 quality innings against quality teams. Yes, we lost, but it's a lot easier to tell a team "hey, take out that inning, and we're right there" than to show 2 hours of ___ whipping every time out.

The pitchers on this team have to be more fed up with this team than the fans. I saw it in Dylan Moore's face in Houston when we had the game won vs Tex Tech and we are giving up runs bc of mistakes. Last night, Guillory had his first W of the year until the team had 'identity' issues.
