    For the last few years we usually put our "best hitter" at lead off. Dex Kjerstad, Blake Trahan. I remember for a short time in 2014 Michael Strentz was batting lead off. Coach Robichaux said at a Diamond Club meeting that it was a way to get to the pitcher's head from what I can remember.

    Robe said they started Strentz leadoff cuz he looked 35 years old and wanted the pitchers thinking about that.

    Honestly, UNO looked better than Tulane in the two games we played. They've got themselves a squad this year. Good to see UNO back in the game.

    They are now 11-2 with some very impressive wins and close loses. They start conference play this weekend, hosting Deggs' boys. I will have my eye on that series.
