"find an identity" Seriously, What does that even mean? So far our identity is losing to decent teams and beating bad teams. I didnt know baseball involved overcoming an identity crisis.

The truth of the matter is, we've all fallen prey to expectations. If this team had tepid expectations, the tone here would be a lot different.

There may be a learning curve, but what took place last year was highly unusual. I'm more concerned about the mental part with this group than the physical ability. (Which IMO is more scary) The good thing is, we have the pitching to keep us in it.

    We'll see.

The reason I believe it's mental with this team is because we've played 67/72 quality innings against quality teams. Yes, we lost, but it's a lot easier to tell a team "hey, take out that inning, and we're right there" than to show 2 hours of ___ whipping every time out.

The pitchers on this team have to be more fed up with this team than the fans. I saw it in Dylan Moore's face in Houston when we had the game won vs Tex Tech and we are giving up runs bc of mistakes. Last night, Guillory had his first W of the year until the team had 'identity' issues.

Mock it all you want but in order for a baseball team to succeed they must find an identity and we have no idea what kind of team we are right now. Building a teams identity is part of any good baseball coaches agenda, especially Coach Robe. We know this team has talent, the players know what they need to do to win, it just all has to come together. Right now this team has no confidence and no identity. It shows.

Problem is, the Bulldogs on this team are all in the bullpen and spend less time in the dugout.

I wasnt mocking it. It was a serious question.

I am pretty sure Guillory was more upset with himself about giving up the two run home run than anything any of his teammates did.

This team doesn't seem take charge in games. They are so passive and just go with whatever is happening to them most of the time. Once they get a lead, they sit on it until the other team responds. When they fall behind, its too late or we will just rally with 3 outs left in the game.

A few soft spots on this team that will hopefully get corrected. They can't find the confidence to leave the nest of the Tigue and win baseball games. This team should have come out of the gates with that national ranking wanting to kick *** and take names but that did not happen....which shocks me. After the loss at Tech I got spooked and many of you stated just a mid week..... early......... first week. It starts from a number 6 ranked team wanting to crush Tech and get this team rolling but the intensity wasn't there and it is still not. Are they riding on the recent past success? If they are it will be long Spring.

I'm not sure anyone could have had a better game at 3B than Brenn did last night.

It's going to take a player to step up and call out the entire team for playing soft and letting this season get away. Players feelings will need to get hurt, players will net to get mad and players will need to get out and prove people wrong. It seems to me that we haven't had a real leader emerge yet.
