I remember watching her play as a freshman... most had never seen anything like it.. if she got on first, she was on third two pitches later usually.
Keep in mind, this was before the day-glo ball, and the fences at Lamson were at least 20 feet further. I think the whole time I watched the teams play from 87-90, there was only one home run hit at home (Laura Boudreaux, I think), so runs were at a premium.
