Yep we have a chance to rack up some wins this week. Anyone know if Evan will be throwing Tuesday or Wednesday?

I also just noticed that Sam Houston swept Oklahoma this past weekend. Good Job Deggs!

I would predict it is Evan on Tuesday and Hogan on Wednesday.

We need to make Hogamaniac shirts!

Baseball America poll should tell you everything you need to know about polls. Arkansas dominated in Houston and they are ranked below us.

You are never as good as you think you are and never as bad as you think you are.

Looking at all 4 games, Tech we went ice cold at the plate, TCU is a very good team and in the 5th we don't have that timely error we get out of that inning and it's 2-1 instead of 5-1 (though I still think they had our number), Texas Tech we had them beat and let them back in on an error, and Rice went as I expected. Reality is we should have 2-2 over this past week with, considering our opponents, would have been respectable. I think that's why we didn't get dropped out of the polls.

This baseball not football, you do not live and die on a couple of games. Well the fans do, but not the people that know baseball.

Hawk, if we play fundamental baseball, we're up 3-0 after 2 innings against TCU. That drastically changes the dynamic of the game (I met their starter Marshall and his dad after the game, and discussed this exact thing. Great folks by the way). I agree that our bats were sleeping on Friday. I also have my critiques about where batters were slotted on Friday, but I realize we're developing..

Polls are useless and of no consequence, especially in Feb. It's my belief that we will end up being on par with TCU mid season and beyond. I thought we were better than both TT and Rice, and we are playing at about 60% of our potential.

I come away from that tournament encouraged.
