Lee self corrected. That's a hell of an achievement by any pitcher, but a natural freshman spells great things ahead. Pitching is 90% above the shoulders 10% below.
---OK so I turn off the TV to hear the radio wrap up and Dan is just CAJUN CAJUN etc after I had heard the great guys on the TV B-cast with Louisiana---So he finally ends with the score using Louisiana---Thanks and remember it is ok to call us that (UL or Louisiana) unless you are writing for the Baton Rouge Paper!!!
Didn't listen to radio. The pup is about a minute behind live.
Once Lee started locating his curve and change, it was o-vuh.
Yup......first time I see him Jay.....wow
Back at hotel from MMP!!! What a game?!?!?!? That was fun.
VERY FEW people in attendance. #CajunNation WAY OUTNUMBERED the Rice fans in their own town! But still WAY LESS UL fans than yesterday, which I was expecting since the game was so late on Sunday night.
We were loud and esp picking on the Rice pitcher for all the near/close balks. The stadium was so empty you could easily yell and have players hear it. So we ragged and ragged the dude on throwing 800 times to 1st. Even when our guy was 2-3 feet of the bag.
The Section A'ers were sitting where section A would be at The Tigue (1st base side) where the rest of us were behind the UL dugout. Appearantly, they were being TOO LOUD over their and an old Rice fan complained to the stadium security. So they all got kicked out of that section and forced to move to the UL side. They sat on the 2 rows directly behind me. THAT WHEN THE GAME GOT REALLY FUN!!! Those guys/gals are just fun.
I'm already a VERY LOUD fan. Them being forced to move ____ed them off so they just got louder.
Props to them though. They sang "Centerfield" everyday during the 7th inning stretch, "Sweet Caroline" during the 8th, and the fight song to start the 9th. So I joined them and helped out.
One of them, called Tros' shot 2 seconds before he swung. It was kinda sweet. Friend of mine got the HR ball too!
Good thing I took Monday off too, not sure I'll be able to talk. That was a fun and exciting game. The small crowd made it easy to get into and get close to the action.
Announcers many times commented on the rowdiness of our fans and stated they would love to see a game at the Tigue to see 4,000 Cajun fans supporting their team. Several camera closeups of the group of fans singing Centerfield, Sweet Caroline and Thurman's walk-up song. Ya'll were having a great time.
