What was your opinion of the timing of Marlin's delivery of the suspension news to the team? And, what are your thoughts on his comments to the media about him not playing well?

I saw it coming also Jay.

MAT, I am not going to pretend to believe that I know all what is involved in breaking it to a team and media that a player is suspended. Never had to do it and thats why I will not question his timing.

Only comment would be it had to come out sometime and maybe he was concerned that he would be questioned about the suspension and its affect on the teams production. The article I read only had his comments, so I have no idea if he was responding to a question, which is all the more reason why I trust that Marlin followed his rules.

I would be more concerned if it came out that ANY player violated a team rule and they were not appropriately disciplined.

I also know, for the football team at least, they are provided a card with HUD 7 "rules" on one side and contacts on the other so IF they make a bad decision they can phone a friend to help stop the madness. Robe, according to the article earlier this year, kind of has the same thing. Point being is that all of the athletes are well aware of rules and consequences for breaking them. If they screw the pooch its more than likely the person in the mirror that caused the issue.
