You're about 750 tickets too high. UL doesn't sell season tickets for every seat in the stadium. Jay Walker posted an article talking about where the 750 or so tickets between the season ticket sold number and the Tigue capacity number goes towards.

A block of tickets is reserved each game for UL students, MLB scouts, families of UL players and staff, families of the visiting team and tickets for fans of the visitors and tickets for those folks who buy the outfield signs at "The Tigue".
Not all of the tickets from that block will be "sold" for every game. What isn't sold will be sold to an individual who walks up and purchases a ticket. Anything over 3,750 will be sold as SRO. But I guarantee that anyone who bought a SRO ticket this past weekend will end up being able to purchase an actual seat for a future game, meaning attendance will be less than what it was this weekend. Unless the team goes on a run to start the season, then throw what I said out of the window.

Baseball is averaging 4,500 thru 3 games & Basketball is averaging less than 4,000 if I'm not mistaken! I am a big Baseball fan, but this is NOT good.
Considering the well earned ranking coming off a recent season #1 in the country rankings ... this is not surprising.

Not a bad comment Turbine... but Robe and Mike's accomplishments and stewardship over their respective programs doesn't bring any suspicion on them for any player issues. Not that I listened to or agreed with the individual that posted on here during the JJ Thomas and Ramone Andrews debacle... but Robe and Mike don't exactly make me question them when a player goes off the reservation. Do I question Marlin? Probably not. I think MBB has it's own set of issues. And in reality, every school brings the heat on the football and basketball coaches 100 times heavier than baseball and softball. It's the nature of the beast. So... even though your getting some glowing endorsements for your post... I do not think it's an apples to apples comparison. What I agree with your comment on is that it should force a few people to stop and think. It should not, however, usher in another categorical put down of "this site". As I've posted before, the minor few should be addressed directly.

Back to now; except for Lotief, every single Pentathlam coach has had to "publicly" suspend a player this school year.

    I'm absorbing and reflecting.

It's always something with Marlin. I want three things from any coach. My three legged stool win big, win with integraty, win with academic success.

Marlin so far has done two of the three legs. He's just not winning.

That's fair, everyone has 'Their Own' criteria and breaking point.
    I can't argue with yours.

UL Basketball Re: Jay Hedgemen suspended

It is unfortunate that Jay Hedgeman chose conduct that was detrimental to the team. He knew the team rules. By his actions/conduct he suspended himself. If a coach wants to maintain discipline in a team he has to enforce the team rules. If I am reading this right, he is suspended, not kicked off the team. If he gets his house in order he, presumably, can rejoin the team next semester. The ball is in his court.

So you guys must know something the rest of us don't. Have you gotten the chance to meet Jay Hedgemen? Spent any amount of time with him? The guy is first class. Genuine and humble. I would LOVE to know what he did that was detrimental to this team..

He wouldn't be the first really great kid to screw up.

Didn't we have this conversation about two really good kids not long ago???? (And, no, he didn't do the same thing.)
