Thread: Louisiana at Texas St

It is a shame some of us blame our student athletes for the losses. They are the tools, the craftsman, Marlin, keeps buying tools. It is time for all to question the craftsman's ability to use or choose tools.

Nobody is saying our tools are out partying, not attending practice, or classes for the most part they are doing exactly what the craftsman demands.

Great analogy I buy into it.

However, I think the craftsman demands that open shots fall inside the hoop and his demands are not being met.

Don't worry, in a few weeks someone will be telling us how great the whatever tournament we w h *** ourselves into is.
I understand that we can go out and hit 100% of our free throws in a game. What I am saying is that we need to hit 75%. In close games hitting 75%, which is not unheard of, will win games. Look back on the game we have lost by only making 50-55% of those shots. "Hack-a-Shaq" (Long) is only one player. He can hit 50% all year and the other four plus 3-4 off the bench hit 75% I will take that all season.

He bought the tools, and I'm assuming he was convinced they were what he needed. He knew he was buying imported Vietnamese tools and not Craftsman from Sears.

Free Throws did not help but the glaring stats to me were 19 offensive rebounds with only 7 second chance points. They just didn't make shots no matter where on the court they shot from. 3pt shooting percentage was higher than regular FG pct. Won't win many games shooting like that. For easy proof, look at UNC against Duke last week. Shot 1-13 from 3pt FG and horrible overall and lost to a not so great Duke team. UNC turns around and shoots lights out and beats a better Miami team by 25.
