I think Lourdes Park will be torn down and removed or relocated. Then additional bleachers and/or seats will be added behind and above the existing bleachers.

I also heard that the timeline for getting this thing finished between the end of this season and the beginning of next season will be EXTREMELY tight. I was told that we should not be surprised to see some of the construction start prior to the end of this season behind the existing bleachers and in areas that would not have an effect on fans or the team during this season.

We shall see.

If we host postseason it could be especially tight.

As part of the initial grandstand construction, there was proposed to have a covered walkway above the existing bleachers that can be used for concessions or SRO. I don't know how far the covering will fall (if at all) over the bleacher sections.

The existing bleachers will remain in place for the near future but will be in future phases of renovation where the first and then third base bleachers will be removed and the grandstand structure extended to take their place. The aisles will then match up perfectly and extend side to side seamlessly.

Are you kidding? The metal bleachers at track and soccer are nothing compared to the tigue. We have bench back seating at the tigue and they are just fine. When the new grandstand is built, it's going to mesh directly with the height and connectivity of the current metal bleachers. I agree they should be upgrade in a few years time, but the track and soccer bleachers? Yea no thanks. Those are trash compared to baseball.

I'm pretty sure I screwed the English language. I was in fact suggesting once we build the main grandstand the master plan calls for doing the same with the metal bleachers we currently have. Remove them and match concrete to concrete. Use the current metal bleachers as replacement for those ancient antiquated metal bleachers at the track and soccer. Im pretty sure long term we're not keeping the current nice baseball bleachers.

Another repurpose, kill some pines and use them in the outfield in the future.
