Jam Williams smiles remembering last year's crowd reaction at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field, whenever he reached base or came on in a pinch-running situation.

Good article. Sounds like Jam has put in the work. Hopefully it pays off for him and the team

Jam Williams could be the Tyren Johnson of baseball for us. Has the measurables, the speed, the ability. If he progresses even a little bit every year, learns to hit the college fastball, and improves situational awareness, his SR season could be YUGE.

He will not be here his senior year, he will be drafted after his junior season.

Think that would mean he's improved at the plate a lot. Baseball might draft in very late innings for a specialty player but how much is that worth.

I'm all for him being that third year player with a decent draft spot.

He has made great strides at the plate and baseball will draft on potential because because they do not have to pay as much unless you are in the top 10 rounds. He will sign after his junior year because that is where is bargaining power is, not after his senior season. I know for a fact scouts are looking at him because I am always having to kick scouts out of my seats.

If and a big if, he can put it all together he'll be a very fun player to watch this year and next.
