  1. Ragin' Cajuns Track and Field: Carter Named SBC Male Track Athlete Of The Week



    After setting an indoor school-record in the 200-meter dash that had stood for 25 years, Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns sprinter Hanoj Carter was named on Wednesday as the Sun Belt Conference Male Track Athlete of the Week in a release by the conference office.

    Hanoj is as close to an Elite sprinter as we have had since Harold Porter.

    To this day that is one thing I envy. Anyone with speed much less track speed.

    I believe we have a chance to make nationals again. Of course, still a long way to go until Outdoors. Great thing is NC's is at Oregon again, so the relay would have some familiarity of venue and how the meet will be run by Oregon's staff.

    If they get the stick around cleanly they will be All Americans in the 4x100.

    Hanoj Carter has a very good chance to go 10.1 or better in the 100 meters and 20.5 or better in the 200 meters. To put that in perspective, there may only be 100-150 people in the world as fast or faster than him.
