I just got my tax refund in, I might go buy another pair of tickets just in case we host in the post season.
Unfortunately the majority of the court side/50 yard line/ grandstand tickets are owned by corporate entities that not only neglect to use the tickets, but won't have the ability to resell the unused tickets. I know capital one gets an allotment of tickets to each sport, and for quite some time I would use their tickets and sell/give away my own.
Good idea on buying extra tickets if you can afford them. I did that starting 3 - 4 years ago....it's paid off.
I just checked on getting more tickets. According to the account manager website there are only three seats available for season tickets. One in section A, one in section A1 and one in section M1
I may be biased bc I was one of the students that got left out of Section A for the Regional and Super Regional and met with Farmer about it but I don't think the students should be left out until they turn down an athletic fee. Im still pretty bitter to this day about the whole situation and what we were told about how the students mean nothing to the Athletic Dept until the fee is passed. Ive been a student for the last 5 years and I was never even given the option to vote for a fee. Its not about free tickets either, its all about the opportunity to buy them. I understand someone has to be bumped but would it really hurt to put aside 25 student tickets (regardless of where they are in the stadium) and have a first come first serve for those interested. I guarantee you would have had a line at the ticket office of students waiting.
Anyways.. its interesting how after we got bumped from the Regional, we got a call for the Super Regional asking us to basically be cheerleaders and get the crowd into it. We got hooked up by the game day staff that weekend
Am I reading the comments correct...season tickets are entirely sold up?
We need students that CARE like you guys do to let the dopey admin know how you feel. I made plenty of comments about how I thought it was bogus how they treated Section A. The life blood of a good fanbase and good, lively gameday atmosphere is the students that show up passionate.
