    Schexnayder is probably a German name. I was told by a lady with that name there were 29 different spellings of it.

    It's certainly not Acadian, but there are enough of them in South Louisiana that I've always assumed it to be Cajun. Kinda like Alleman.

    Schexnayder started one year for us, then blew out his knee during summer drills and never played again.

    Yep. They pushed the Donnie and Donnie competition one year. Schexnayder and Wallace.
