This has been going on forever. Not naming schools, but 3 of us from our high school team received info that a certain school wanted us to attend summer camps to see how we liked it. Short story short....one out of the three "was able" to turn summer camp into 4 years of high school. All 3 could've gone, but that one had a more believable story on reasons for switching schools.

---OF COURSE I WAS TALKING ABOUT THE GIRLS, BUT ERROL FINALLY BEAT GIG!!! Watched a quarter of the guys and LCA is for sure the real deal---as usual VC played their butts off and did surprisingly well for a quarter --only behind by about 8-10!!!

Javon Walker was at Fatima, a feeder school, for years before going to STM. Was a good athlete but didn't blossom until he got into high school. For what's it worth.

Kids at public schools do it all the time as well, kids use relatives address to go to the school they want instead of the school they are zoned for. Public schools recruit, it happens everywhere at every school.
