Modifications and other sports splits are going to be voted on.
Yes and no... if none of the other proposals that are in front of the General Assembly on Friday are passed, then yes.... things will stay the same..

But.. if the Mandeville proposal gets appoved by the general assembly, then it will be back to 5 united classes.

Also, there is still the possibility of litigation, as the LHSAA's own counsel says that the split is still against the LHSAA's own constitution.

Here is a pretty decent article that gives an explanation.

Yeah, the whole part about them going about it like they did being against the constitution is legalese. Eventually I think it would have gotten back to the 2013 model as the EC and principals generally have the same views on the subject. They did basically just take a shortcut though

Personally, I hope they go back to unified but honestly can't see a reunification proposal having any chance at all.

If the private schools leave the LHSAA and form their own association, what does that accomplish? At that point they are still split from the public schools.
They quit donating money to LHSAA, which derives much of its revenue from playoff gates. Privates are 1/3 of the schools, but generate 2/3 or more of playoff gates.

So not only did they not fix the problems, they compounded them. Good Ole Louisiana.

Getting Bodine involved was a ploy all along?

    Clown show.

If you think what happened today was good for our children, you are terribly misguided.

But, but....little Bobby (or Suzie) will get a piece of custom carpet to put on their letterman's jacket saying they were in the playoffs.

High school version of coke and trophy.
