If Coach Whitt gets facetime on College Gameday, why, oh why, would we send him out there on national television, on one of the most watched programs on ESPN, with anything other than a shirt that had LOUISIANA on it?

Thats good to hear if you are talking major AQ type confrence money and not like CUSA or MT. West type money. I think if an SEC or big 12 school wanted him and he was willing to listen we can't cpmpete.

He and Hudspeth are very close, but sure that would go for almost anyone in the UL athletic program.

I have absolutely NO PROBLEM with "Ragin' Cajuns" being seen on his shirt. It's one thing to complain about Lafayette being in the logo on his shirt... but to start complaining that "Ragin' Cajuns" isn't good enough to be the brand of our school as seen by the Nation... then at that point... you have lost your grip on reality.

I'm making a point here.

IF we are serious about being branded as Louisiana or UL, then you HAVE TO, there is no debate here, you HAVE TO, take EVERY opportunity you are given to promote yourself as such.

That's reality.

If you say promoting Ragin Cajuns is good enough, you are saying that being known as Louisiana or UL really is not important.

If you have that belief, then you have no ground to stand on when ESPN refers to us as every disrespectful moniker they can think of in 3 hours.

We need to thank Coach Marlin for this hire....

He worked with him at Sam Houston and brought him over when he (Marlin) was hired.

Hud wanted to bring his own guy but had to be convinced of Whitt. I guess it worked.

Whitt was supposed to be the main BBall S&C guy....

Rusty was interviewed after a morning workout and ESPN liked the camouflage look. . . it kept with the military theme.

I don't care if he's wearing a pink leotard....as long as he's our coach....guy has made a huge improvement in our players conditioning and it shows in the fourth quarter.
