Cecilia running back Raymond Calais Jr. committed to UL on Monday night, lifting a weight off of the talented running back's shoulders.

Cake District, thats why he is overrated. Padded stats vs soft teams.
District: Abbeville, NISH, Westgate, BB, St. Martinville.
Other: Comeaux, Northside, Lafayette, St Louis (solid team), Crowley (solid team). Edna Karr (solid playoff team)

You probably said the same thing about dalton Hilliard, Barry sanders and Darren sproles. All similar size and speed out of HS. RC jr will probably be 190 to 195 in a couple years of a college work out program.

Quite different- I'm referring to the 2 or so 5'9" 170 (or smaller) RB we seem to sign every year. Clearly were missing a bigger RB to run between the tackles. Am I wrong?

We haven't signed two small RB's every year. Montrel Carter was 5'10,185 and Hoggins is 5'7,170, Torrie Pierce was a walk-on. Hudspeth signed two early and hasn't signed any since those two backs.

You sign quality. Everyone wants a big talented quick, fast back. Those guys play at about seven schools.

Some here don't realize what a diamond in the rough Zo was. Teams at our level luck into those guys when they actually fulfill their potential.

Zo was the 3rd ranked FB in the nation and had an SEC offer, I wouldn't say he was a diamond in the rough, we just gave him a chance to play RB here instead of FB.

So he's a running back instead of a fullback. That went against the odds. The experts, the P5 teams might never have put him in the position to excel at running back. That's why he's a diamond in the rough. We took a chance and he wanted a chance.

Well, if you are ranked 3rd in the country at any position I don't call that a diamond in the rough...you have talent, and lots of it and recognition.
