Thread: TREVOR BEGUE

    Default TREVOR BEGUE

With Tim Leger leaving McNeese and going to ULM, do you guys think he will stick to his commitment or follow Tim to ULM...Or does this now leave UL with a shot at him, if we offered?

If UL offered, I believe he would come but I do not see us offering.

I see he had offers from McNeese, Nicholls and Northwestern (not Northwestern State, but Northwestern from the Big X)

He is much to short to fit into Hud's "ideal" receiver. Gabe is also on the short side for Hud but he is freakishly strong in the weight room and Hud loves that.

He also had looks from Princeton, Purdue and Yale. This kid must be pretty smart, which begs the question if he was that smart, why would he pick Mickey Neese.

I think he is very smart but apparently wants to play football. I think a kid like him will be successful where ever he goes. God knows we could use a little more intelligence and overall good kids on the team.

Some of Hud's "ideal receivers" can't get open.

I absolutely agree 100% but it is a fact that he likes them tall. If it were me, I would want the best players, regardless of height, color, etc. But that is why he make the big bucks and I am on here commenting on a message board, I guess....

Not sure about the "little more intelligence" comment as we've had the top numbers for the Sun Belt and State for the last two years (unless it was a coaching comment ).

You are correct. I guess I should have left it at good kids.

---Gerami went to N'Western some years back but transferred to the Cajuns!!! Hell if he wants UL let him walk on----Coaches don't always make the best decisions (Dugas) but they damn sure want to win and get higher pay and status---Oh and when I saw this kid last year against Jesuit I thought he to be worthy, but I too like the mismatch of the taller receiver on those smaller better hip rotation CBs!!!

Kid went 4.42 at UL preseason camp but still could NOT get Hud's Attention. NOT sure HUD knows who kid is. Mcneese spread offense will probably fit his skills set better anyway. Good luck to him. Sure he will be just fine.👍
