In my opinion, they needed to go a different route, they need a guy who can raise money and raise it fast. Without the resources they need (and they won't be getting any time soon apparently), it will be the same ole song and dance for them.
Duck Dynasty is there for them surely.

That is true, I think that is what they initially wanted but could not get so they settled..you never want that as a fan.

Considering their circumstances, I'm not sure they could have done better. This guy can coach, and they only got him because moving there increases his retirement number.

I agree. And I also agree with post that said it will suck to get beat by two viator teams next year.

Well well well, he took the job. Ouch. What say the McNeese state fans now?

It's a good move for both parties. ULM gets a guy who is a damn good coach. He might not work in the FBS but Viator gets a chance to prove if he can or not.

It would definitely suck. I'm interested to see the staff he puts together. I see McNeese promoting Guidry to HC but if he goes with Viator to ULM, that will set up for them to have a quality defense from the start.

Watch the show? Purple and puke other than some minor lip service. One whole episode, trip to Refineryville for a game.

I would bet a big part of his agreement was allowing (budget-wise) him taking what staff he wants. His salary will greatly increase regardless, so he'd be crazy not to ensure that he could afford to hire those he would feel can help him reach his goals.

I really think Ryan street high will be left high and dry....which is what should happen when people move up: those on the lowest rungs get screwed over again and again.

Any info yet on the terms of the contract?
