Patrise Alexander (Football) and in other sports, Shawn Griggs (Basketball), there was a Vanessa Soto (softball) as well.

Patrise played a few years in the NFL
Shawn played professional basketball overseas for many years
Vanessa was instrumental in our 52-15 season that took us to the WCWS and beat #1 Florida that year in the WCWS, eventually losing to Alabama and Texas A&M.

Those are three pretty good ones. "The Thief of Bahgdad" as Shawn was call, was one of my favorite players to watch. He had the best defensive hands of any basketball player I have seen play at U(s)L in my time watching them.

Patrise played most of his NFL career with the Washington Redskins from 1995-1998 and also with the Eagles in 1999. He went on to play in the Arena league for 5 years after that.

I don't remember Alexander being a transfer. There is noting that suggest he went to lsu when you look up his bio. What makes you think he transferred?

He was a decent running back that played in the NFL. I am pretty sure this thread is about transfers that made a contribution while in school here. Not what they did after that. I do agree 100% on the law suit thing.

No I'm not new here. Just never really post anything. I just want to clear the locker room issue up. Hud did not say that there was a locker room issue. I listened to the radio show that he talked about chemistry with the team. He was baited into talking about chemistry by the interviewer specifically telling him to talk about how much team chemistry means. So of course HUD just talked about the importance of chemistry. That's what he said on that show. Then right after that, everyone gets on the forums speculating that the locker room must be in total chaos

I have to agree with this. All I have ever heard out of Hud is coachspeak. I actually get frustrated with him about that. The only place I have ever seen anything about trouble in the locker room was the vague references made here.

bump......since there is another thread stating Brazil said he would be running back next year. I hope he is. I could see him as a more productive running back than a defensive back.

You guys help me with my failing memory. Don't recall the specific game, but wasn't there one where Brazil caught a lot of flak for basically giving up on a play......a kickoff that he muffed or something along those lines?

From what I recall the coaching staff was pretty upset about the play and a few Cajun fans were also pretty irate.
