La Tech is so good and has so much separation that they will easily break UL's attendance record of 54,000.

Louisville never played in the Nola bowl.

La Tech has so much separation they have beaten ULL 8 times in a row by an average of 40 points per game.

With all the openings this year, I'm pretty sure he is pushing for his agent to get him out of that __________.hole called Ruston.

So...when can we start saying it was Tech beating up on bad CUSA teams to make the NOLA Bowl?

This sucks for A state they have been wanting the NO bowl for several years and the year they get it the oppent is ltur. The Cajuns were in it 4 years in a row and played 2 mt west and 2 schools that are now AAC. Both better conferences and all 4 schools more prestigious than playing Ruston. Looks like we picked the right year to have an off year.

LA Tech has mopped the floor with us the past two seasons. Hopefully Arkansas State can do what we all hoped our own team could.

Just checked their BBB board to see their attitude in playing a SunBelt school, Ark State, in the NO Bowl. Here are a few quotes. They will get 3,000 tickets and IF they sell them out, will get another 2,100. Pathetic. Ark State needs to blow them out and put those a-holes in their place.

"I definitely won't travel to watch LA Tech play an SBC school in a bowl. I don't care if they play the game in Monroe. I live in DFW, where nobody even knows the SBC exists. We have a lot of choices of things to do over here, so I'm sure I can find something else to do that weekend. I've always hated those "SBC schools" anyway, and have no desire to reconnect with them. I've always favored "leaving them behind", and for the most part, LA Tech has done that. That's why we are in CUSA, and they aren't. But if you think this bowl thing makes me "insecure about any association with the Sunbelt", then you are mental. Fact is, I have no association with the Sunbelt. And I like it that way. And there's absolutely nothing wrong with that. Some of us call it...."having standards". "

"And here we go again......ARE WE HAVING FUN YET? It's "ULL WEEK" all over again.

Posts like the one above are exactly why I never want to have anything to do with those Sunbelch neanderthals. (No, the post above was not directed at me, but still annoying.) ULL talked big trash just like the guy above. In fact, ULL fans were the ULTIMATE TRASH talkers. But the day after we beat 'em by 40 points, they were no where to be found. And this "SBC Fan" will be the same way."

"To continue the analogy, playing a Belch team is like walking into a portajohn at a falafel festival in the summer heat."

"Heart of Dallas: Southern Miss vs. Washington "STRIKE 1"
Armed Forces: Air Force vs. Cal "STRIKE 2"
Independence Bowl: Tulsa vs. Virginia Tech "STRIKE 3 You're out. Pack your stuff kid, you're headed to the New Orleans Bowl."

Ha, hope they don't sell enough to cover the guarantee. That would be sweet, losing money on bowls. Oh, wait, CUSA like the SBC covers for some of the money losers.

Clearly in a year without enough schools to fill the bowls, they have to realize CUSA is just a smudge better than the SBC. Still they are the third team in CUSA vs the top team in the SBC

I get it..the Sunbelt does suck..we are the first to admit it..but they act like they are in the SEC...they are in a conference full of former SBC members and most casual fans around the U.S. couldn't name schools in either conference (or know which schools are in which conference) I hope Arkansas State whips there ___...but then again they will use the Alabama excuse and say the team couldn't get up for such a "lowly" opponent.
